I’m a proud mom of four adult kids and living my very best life alongside my husband, Brian. These days our family is growing in the sweetest ways, and I don’t take a single season for granted. Faith guides everything I do. God above all, always.
When I’m not chasing golden light, you can usually find me with coffee in hand, chocolate close by, and laughing with the same best friends I’ve had since high school — the kind of friendships that feel more like family.
SERVING MY COMMUNITY AND THE SURROUNDING COUNTIES IS SOMETHING I’M DEEPLY GRATEFUL FOR. BEING TRUSTED TO DOCUMENT LIFE’S MILESTONES HERE AT HOME IS AN HONOR I NEVER TAKE LIGHTLY. AND WHILE MY HEART IS ROOTED LOCALLY, I STILL DREAM BIG — ONE DAY, WORKING WITH NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC WOULD BE THE ULTIMATE ADVENTURE.
Mom- soon to be grandma ( Lovie is my preferred name) I live on our little hobby farm with my family where we board horses, grow our vegetables and have fluffy butts. I’ve always loved being outside. Gardening, wandering through the woods, getting a little muddy in creeks..and that started back when I was a kid growing up on the side of a mountain. That love of nature has stayed with me into adulthood through camping trips and quiet moments outdoors. Life’s been full, and yes, sometimes noisy, but these days I really treasure the stillness. The kind of days where you can just hear the wind blow and nothing else.
Like so many moms, I first picked up a camera to capture my own kids growing up. Then came my friends’ kids, and before I knew it, social media took off back in 2012. I started sharing a few of my portraits online, and people began reaching out, asking if I could photograph their families too. You can imagine how one thing led to another. The sweet, unexpected domino effect that became N.L.H. Photography. I’ve always been drawn to chasing the light, studying it, and seeing it in ways I haven’t before. Photographing families here in the foothills gives me that chance every day.. to find the glow, the quiet magic, and the moments that feel truly timeless.
